At the core of the kit are Pearl’s EvenPly-Six 5.4mm hybrid shells, combining birch and African mahogany for a rich, balanced tone. The birch adds attack and clarity, while the mahogany contributes warmth and depth. Finished with precision 60-degree bearing edges, these shells produce a focused, punchy sound with natural low-end and smooth sustain—ideal for modern studio and stage applications.
